You’re at dinner with a bunch of friends. You’re pretending to casually peruse the menu, when really, the only thing you’re interested in is: dessert. A crafty little minx, you’re already calculating the calorie / space equation in your head.
If you skip an entrée, then you can definitely squeeze in the dessert platter (for two). You’d prefer just to order a starter, that way you can blow your calories on the chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream and maybe some petit fours too—but that might raise an eyebrow.
THE ‘HOW CAN I SWING DESSERT’ EQUATION:
CALORIES + SPACE = DMC²
Everyone’s doing three courses so you decide on two entrées, so you’ll have enough room (and calories leftover) to enjoy that lavender soufflé all to yourself minus the guilt. Jackpot. No one will suspect a thing!
Usually I’d only ever contemplate dessert when I’m out to dinner—that was until one fateful Sunday night I was bored and conjured up a recipe for a kick ass iced coffee sundae. Your Sunday nights will never, ever, be the same. Guaranteed food moment right there Poppet! MC
