I am so blooming excited to bring you this post today! You see, ever since SilverFox and I have lived together, I’ve been lusting over the holy grail of kitchen appliances: a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I used to imagine myself in the kitchen on a Sunday afternoon baking up a storm. I never did get around to getting one, alas something always seemed to take priority. (Namely, bills! Sometimes doesn’t adulting just suck?)
So, you can imagine, I was over the moon when KitchenAid’s latest creation landed on my doorstep, the KitchenAid Sparkling Beverage Maker ($399). What I love about it, is that it has the same iconic look and feel of the Stand Mixer and is powered by an equally iconic brand, SodaStream. It’s just perfect, because I’ve been obsessed with sparkling water ever since my last trip to New York where just about every restaurant has sparkling water on tap—free of charge!
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT IT, IS THAT IT HAS THE SAME ICONIC LOOK AND FEEL OF THE STAND MIXER AND IS POWERED BY ANOTHER ICONIC BRAND, SODASTREAM.
Now, if you already know all about SodaStream, you’ll know you can buy up to 40 different syrup flavours to mix up your soda. What I personally love, is knowing that I can create a gazillion different flavours myself (Okay, with a little help from my garden!) and I know exactly what I’m putting into it.
For me, even just adding a slice of lime and a few torn mint leaves adds some serious zing to my fizzy water. Phwoar! Trust me, you won’t ever want to drink still water again! Today, I’ve taken it up a notch, (befitting of KitchenAid’s newest launch) and created a series of super easy combos aptly called, Spa Water. All you need to do is close your eyes, take a sip and all of a sudden you’ll feel like you’re in a spa getting pampered! Promise. MC

- Cucumber and Rosemary: Try this savoury but refreshing beverage instead of an afternoon coffee. Trust me, this really hits the spot! Also works really well with basil or even mint too.
- Rockmelon, Honeydew Melon and Watermelon: Why is it that everything tastes better melon balled? One of life’s many mysteries, I guess. This is the kind of water you serve to impress guests. A great light afternoon tea snack too!
- Strawberry and Pomegranate: This has to be the most delicious of them all, you feel like you’re having a treat minus the calories. This will work with whatever berries are in season, or frozen if you can’t find fresh!
- Lemon and Lime: A great palette cleanser and also fantastic for keeping your pearly whites sparkling. Definitely adds a bit of pep to your step after a long day at work. I love to sip this at my desk all day long.
