I always get asked, what kind of a blogger I am. Am I a beauty blog? Am I a fashion blog? Am I a lifestyle blog? Am I a food blog? I generally like to have a finger in every pie – because let’s face it, this time of year this little ol’ blog would be littered with the masses of Easter eggs I’ve been eating inhaling. And the subsequent detoxes to follow!

Not being a particular ‘type’ of blogger gives me license to write about all sorts of topics. For instance, last week in Melbourne I had a psychic ( http://www NULL.sarakyriakou NULL.com/) reading from Sydney Psychic (http://www NULL.sarakyriakou NULL.com/) Sara Kyriakou over the phone.

Y’see, I’ve always been open to psychics, but like anything I’ve always found the proof is always in the pudding! There I go talking about food – again.

Sara began the reading without asking any questions. For about 20 minutes she told me what she saw happening in the next 6–18 months. I never like to give away too much, and only interjected to clarify anything that was unclear.

Sara told me about my upcoming travel plans (that I haven’t discussed with anyone) and was very specific about some upcoming events and how they would play out – and she even pinpointed the personalities of friends and family that have never been mentioned on this blog or twitter. Amazing.

SHE TOLD ME STRAIGHT UPNO FLUFF.

The reason I went along with the reading was because I wanted to know about something specific, but I didn’t ask. At the end of the reading, Sara said exactly those words back to me. Exactly. Those. Words. Freaky, much? She singled out upcoming events, countries I would visit, people I had met and plans I had made – that I have only (ever!) told family about. In-cred-ible.

The thing I enjoyed the most about Sara’s reading was the delivery; straight to the point, none of that airy-fairy-wishy-washy business. A quality I’ve always appreciated in family and friends. She told me straight up – no fluff. No smoke and mirrors. No Bullshit. Sorry Mum!

As for what’s next…well your guess is as good as mine. If Sara’s predictions come right (I hope they do!), you’ll be the first to know. Promise! In the meantime, if you’re interested in contacting Sara for a psychic reading (http://www NULL.sarakyriakou NULL.com/), clickity click  here (http://www NULL.sarakyriakou NULL.com/) to visit her website. Disclosure: This reading was complimentary.

There comes a time when eventually your ‘different lives’ start to collide. As much as you try to keep things separate, next thing you know, you’re doing the downward dog in front of Gaz the I.T guy; you realise that your boss used to go out with your second cousin (FYI, apparently she’s a bit of a starfish and her lady garden needs some weeding) and then you bump into a ‘foe-worker’ at Coles in tracky-daks-sans-makeup-post-moustache-wax-buying tampons. Okay, that last one doesn’t apply to me. I don’t do sweats – in public – ever.

I know you must wonder what I do all day long besides painting my nails, going to launches, getting my hair blow-dried and massaging words for MsCritique? The rest of my time, I work. (http://www NULL.lolaandbailey NULL.com/press)(GASP!)

Can’t stop pinching myself. Pinch!

Since y’all are kind enough to take the time to come and visit me (thank you times a gazillion), it’s only fair that I share more about little ol’ me. For the last four years I’ve been one-half of accessories label, LOLA&BAILEY (http://www NULL.lolaandbailey NULL.com/). It’s been an ahhh-mazing rollercoaster ride of highs and lows – luckily for me, there hasn’t been too much flying vom.

Recently, we kicked a major goal by designing a capsule collection for Sportgirl (http://www NULL.sportsgirl NULL.com NULL.au/blog/post/2011/4/sportsgirls-like-lola-bailey/) called ‘Rock the Kazbah’ (http://www NULL.sportsgirl NULL.com NULL.au/blog/post/2011/04/sportsgirls-like-lola-bailey/), which just so happened to sell out online in the first week. Can’t stop pinching myself. Pinch! There I go again!

And now we’ve decided to pack-up shop, I find myself at a cross-road about to embark on a brand spankin’ new chapter. So while I’m out there somewhere trying to get rid of this persky travel bug (I swear, I’ve tried everything!) stay tuned for my next adventure – I just know it’s going to be G.R.E.A.T. I can feel it in ma’bones! MC
