There comes a time when eventually your ‘different lives’ start to collide. As much as you try to keep things separate, next thing you know, you’re doing the downward dog in front of Gaz the I.T guy; you realise that your boss used to go out with your second cousin (FYI, apparently she’s a bit of a starfish and her lady garden needs some weeding) and then you bump into a ‘foe-worker’ at Coles in tracky-daks-sans-makeup-post-moustache-wax-buying tampons. Okay, that last one doesn’t apply to me. I don’t do sweats – in public – ever.

I know you must wonder what I do all day long besides painting my nails, going to launches, getting my hair blow-dried and massaging words for MsCritique? The rest of my time, I work. (http://www NULL.lolaandbailey NULL.com/press)(GASP!)

Can’t stop pinching myself. Pinch!

Since y’all are kind enough to take the time to come and visit me (thank you times a gazillion), it’s only fair that I share more about little ol’ me. For the last four years I’ve been one-half of accessories label, LOLA&BAILEY (http://www NULL.lolaandbailey NULL.com/). It’s been an ahhh-mazing rollercoaster ride of highs and lows – luckily for me, there hasn’t been too much flying vom.

Recently, we kicked a major goal by designing a capsule collection for Sportgirl (http://www NULL.sportsgirl NULL.com NULL.au/blog/post/2011/4/sportsgirls-like-lola-bailey/) called ‘Rock the Kazbah’ (http://www NULL.sportsgirl NULL.com NULL.au/blog/post/2011/04/sportsgirls-like-lola-bailey/), which just so happened to sell out online in the first week. Can’t stop pinching myself. Pinch! There I go again!

And now we’ve decided to pack-up shop, I find myself at a cross-road about to embark on a brand spankin’ new chapter. So while I’m out there somewhere trying to get rid of this persky travel bug (I swear, I’ve tried everything!) stay tuned for my next adventure – I just know it’s going to be G.R.E.A.T. I can feel it in ma’bones! MC

// LOLA&BAILEY website.

// Rock the Kazbah.

// Long Live McQueen!

It’s all about the details Darling:

Stay tuned for the next chapter. xx

One of the things I love to do when I’m in Sydney is go to the Rozelle Markets. (http://www NULL.rozellemarkets NULL.com NULL.au/)I usually drag SilverFox along with me. Ok, who am I kidding, (not you Kido!) he’s a more than willing participant. Yup. All it takes is a mere mention of the fresh Turkish gozleme, hot off the grill and BAM, next thing I know, I’m eating one too!

Over the last few years I think it’s fair to say that I’ve aquired a number of purchases, thanks to the Rozelle Markets (http://www NULL.rozellemarkets NULL.com NULL.au/). Art Deco mirror. Tick. Bright Orange Olivetti (http://www NULL.olivetti NULL.com/Site/Public/)typewriter. Tick. Crystal decanter(s). Tick. Tick. Tick. You get the picture.

Don’t even get me started on the collection of gladstone bags (http://www NULL.google NULL.com NULL.au/images?hl=en&q=gladstone%20bags&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1536&bih=811) I’ve bought at the Camberwell Markets (http://www NULL.onlymelbourne NULL.com NULL.au/melbourne_details NULL.php?id=7750)in Melbourne. Eeeek!

Moving on: behold my latest purchase that I picked up a few weekends ago for the grand ol’ price of 15 smacks. Incredibly expensive for a market purchase, but I just haaad to have it. Naturally, being the Cheeky Monkey that I am, I made SilverFox foot the bill!

Come on, stop being such a Sneaky Sally and share your latest market finds. MC

// Not something I’d usually go for.

// Hiss!

// Thoughts?

// Hasn’t left my hand for the last week.
