When it comes to shopping, we all think we’re just going to get in, get out and get what we need—but does that ever really happen? Not really! Let’s be honest…we all get blinded by the shiny sparkly things and before you know it, a few hours have passed and the credit card has had a few too many swipes. #guilty!
And, let’s face it, all that shopping works up an appetite! So, with dumplings on the mind, I headed to Din Tai Fung at the new Anderson Dining Precinct to see what all the fuss was about. As you walk in, you see The Mac-Daddy Dumpling Masters working away, crafting and oh-so carefully measuring each dumpling pastry to the precise gram. Now that’s setting the bar high!
And disappoint it did not. Each dumpling is a small tiny mouthful of happiness. Extra points were awarded to the colourful Dumpling Gems. Each has its own flavour, which makes it even more exciting. I’m not going to lie—we went all out and tried the lot. The Spicy Shrimp and Pork Wontons, the Steamed Pork Dumplings, Shrimp and Pork Wonton Noodle soup… endless types of dumplings. They were all delicious. Top it off with a Mango Tango or the Lychee Mint Freeze and you my friends, will be happy little dumplings. (Except for the brain freeze!)
Before I knew it, I had almost forgotten about the shoes. (I said almost…). C’mon you know me too well, of course I got them Possum! Okay and maybe a cute scarf too. #guilty MC
